Scope:
The Registered Nurse collects the patient health history. Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans. Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options.

Enrolled Nurse

An Enrolled Nurse (EN)
provides, monitors, and evaluates person-centred care under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Holding a Diploma of Nursing, they work across various health settings, administering medication, performing clinical assessments, wound care, and contributing to care planning to support patient health.
Key Responsibilities & Duties

Clinical Care: Administer medications, perform wound management, take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and assist with personal hygiene or activities of daily living.

Assessment & Planning: Contribute to patient assessment, implement care plans, and monitor for changes in condition, reporting deviations to the RN.

Patient Support: Provide emotional support to patients and families, and assist with pre- and post-operative care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans.

Safety: Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe, clean environment.

In the NDIS context, social workers empower participants to achieve independence, access support systems, and navigate their NDIS plans effectively.
The scope of a social worker's role includes:

Providing direct support, counselling, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Connecting participants with healthcare, education, housing, and employment services.

Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing tailored support plans.

Addressing emergencies, such as domestic violence, homelessness, or neglect.
